Introduction of WAPDA:

Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority is an independent and autonomous agency of the Federal Government of Pakistan which maintains water and power utilities in the state. After the country gained independence in 1958, a Parliamentary Act created it.

WAPDA owns major dams in Pakistan and actively controls and operates the demands and needs of the Pakistani commercial and domestic sectors. It is planning to complete five more multi-phase bottlenecks to meet the growing needs of the power sector.

WAPDA’s objective is to create affordable and clean energy for the citizens of Pakistan to bring down electricity rates in a consumer-friendly way. The business operates a nationwide independent network.

Water and Power Development Authority has announced career opportunities in Rawalpindi Hospital, Guddu Hospital, WAPDA House Lahore, and WAPDA Hospital Mangala.

WAPDA hires a General Manager – Security, Nursing Orderly, OT Attendant, Ward Boys, Sanitary Workers, and Aya. Candidates have to apply from across the country. The posting location for chosen candidates will be anywhere in Pakistan.

Candidates of any gender may submit applications for this role. WAPDA career advertisements give a brief explanation of the FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sindh, Punjab, and PWD quotas.

These employment opportunities are opening regularly. Eligibility criteria for these posts require having a solid previous experience in the same domain (literate, middle, matric, MBA, MPA, and retired Brigadier).

Academic degrees should be recognized by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan HEC and Pakistan Engineering Council PEC. The initial appointment will be subject to a one-year probationary term.

The age restriction has already been generally relaxed. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Communities, Scheduled Tribes of Tribal Areas, GB, and AJK will not be given any further age relaxation beyond three years.

An age relaxation of 10 years will be admissible for disabled persons applying against disabled quota. Age will be determined as of the final application date.
