Marking System for 12th Class in Punjab BISE Boards
Total marks for 12th class intermediate is 1100. All the BISE boards in Punjab have the same grading system. A+ grade is for marks of 80% and above. So students who score 880 or more out of 1100 are graded with A+ grade. It is also known as differential rank.
A grade is for students who have secured 70% or more marks and less than 80% marks. So marks between 770 and 880 are given A grade. It is also called an excellent grade.
B grade is for students with marks between 60% and 70%. So marks between 660 and 770 are classified with a B grades. It is also called a very good grade.
C grade is for students with marks between 50% and 60%. So marks between 5500 and 660 are classified with a C grade. It is also known as good grade.
D grade is for students with marks between 40% and 50%. So marks between 440 and 550 are classified with D grade. It is also called fair grade.
E grade is for students who have marks between 33% and 440%. So marks between 330 and 440 are classified with E grade. It is also called the satisfaction level.
F grade is for those who fail and get less than 33% marks in any subject or aggregate.
Marks Division System of Punjab BISE Board
There are three divisions in BISE Punjab Board examination system. 1st Division is above 60% which is 660 out of 1100. Scores below 60% and above 45% are considered second division. 3rd division is marked below 45% marks.
Warning: If you got 3rd division you should repeat your intermediate at any cost because 3rd division degree holders cannot apply for any government job.
